MDA has announced an extension of the planting deadline for the Cover Crop program. The last date to plant is November 12. Only wheat, rye, triticale, and speltz are eligible species and the only planting methods are no-till, conventional, broadcast-light tillage, and vertical tillage. The last reporting date is also extended until November 19.

August 15 begins the planting window for the MACS cover crop program. Approval letters are being sent out to applicants as they are reviewed by the MACS Office. If you are aerial seeding, remember to get your applicator to sign and date the FSA maps for any fields that are aerial seeded.
