The Frederick Soil Conservation District in partnership with Ecotone, Inc. recently completed two tree planting projects that will serve a riparian buffers to improve water quality in the streams they buffer. The project was grant funded and is the first to be completed by the partnership. The partnership also has a stream restoration project in the design phase that should begin construction late summer and has applied for additional grant funding for more stream projects in the county.
